Climate Control Problem

Hey everyone, the climate control unit went dead on my wife's 2007 RDX (with technology package, if that makes any difference) with about 80,000 miles. Basically, I turned on the front and back winshield defrosts, lowered teh passenger front window, and then poof!, the climate control died. None of the buttons light up on CCU, and the outside temperature now reads "---" on the display. Nothing comes out of the vents. I pulled and checked every single fuse and relay in the car (with digital multimeter), they all are good. Based on my research, I think it might be the air conditioner cpu assembly that might have died. It is part # 79610-STK-A41.

Does anyone know if I can replace it myself, or do I have to have a dealer program it before it will work with the car? I located the part online easily enough (both new and used). It is about $150 for the part new. I don't feel like getting the dealer involved and the whole "It's gonna be a $1500 fix" shpeel.

Thanks so much in advance...hopefully someone here knows this answer
