Check Engine Emissions and Check SH-AWD System

Check Engine Emissions and Check SH-AWD System
Was rolling down the highway at normal crusing speed when all of a sudden both the above warnings pop up in the MID. Quickly flip to the SH-AWD screen on the MID and display showed no power going to the rear. Pulled over, shut her down while I looked through the owner's manual for info. Not much there, aside from the "Get vehicle to the dealer". Since I'm 2 hours away from anywhere, continue on to my destination. Starting the vehicle up again, only the Check ENgine Emissions lights up... however after less than 10 minutes of driving, the SH-AWD light also comes back on.
Was able to get an OBDII reader once I got to my destination, and it returned the P-2263 code (Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost System Performance). Did a search on this forum and on Google. Doesn't seem to be a very common issue.
Anybody have some info before I try bringing it to a dealer? (PS - Only a Honda dealer where i'm at, 4 hours away from my Acura dealer)

Do you have any mods on your car? I had the same issues with the weapon R intake, problem solved after I re-installed stock parts and reset ECU.
Apparently if you over boost etc.. It's causes the AWD to go into safe mode.

This is part of the reply I received...
Clean the MAF with a maf cleaner and see if the code still comes up.
You need to either disconnect your battery (Neg) for 5-10 minutes and than connect it back to see if the codes goes available.
Or you can go to your local auto zone to clear the code.
The SH-AWD system shuts down and goes to protection mode when you throw a overboosting or check emission code.
You can also try resetting your ECU - https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...1749Originally

Some monitors take as much as 300 miles. If you hook up to an OBDII meter again, most can tell you if all the monitors are complete.
Once they are all complete and you still have no codes you have less options to find out what caused the code.

Check Emission and SH-AWD solved
I have a RDX 2007 and the problem was solved.
Root cause was a failure at the connector of one of the cables that pass just above the starter (the starter is located in a difficult place, under the admission, between the bumper and the motor).
We cleared codes and never had the problem again.

P2263 Code
After reading and reading and reading about this problem in my 2007 RDX (160,000 Km's), and sweating how much money this problem was going to cost me, I stumbled across a tech bulletin and diagnostic troubleshooting document. That documents first troubleshooting measure states to check and/or replace the air filter! Dah, that's the one thing I hadn't done since purchasing the vehicle. Replaced it and reset the code, and have been trouble free for about 10k now. Not saying that was the solution, as it could come back in the typical cycles it had in the past, but just goes to show sometimes it's the simplest things that are the problem.

sweet. I would really like to see that entire troubleshooting pdf if you could find a way or email it to me pdpunome@gmail.com.
My air cleaner box is broken on one corner from dealer in the past so i glued and taped it the other day but no luck with this issue going away, so i just bought another one and hope it cures it! I have a rattle though when i let off the gas, so hoping that is a heat shield. Figure i would buy another turbo setup too just incase.

Troubleshooting document for P2263
See attached. Since I posted my original reply and replaced my air filter, the code hasn’t come back. I’m certainly not convinced in all cases, that the turbo needs to be replaced. There are any number of potential issues that can also cause that code. Start with the simplest, leaks in air box, hoses, etc… There is a copper pipe under the intercooler that corrodes. Mine had been replaced before I bought it, and I also found a couple clamps in that repair that weren’t as solid as I think they should be. So, replaced/repaired those at the same time as the air cleaner replacement. So, who really knows which repair fixed the problem, but it appears to be solved….for now, and very inexpensively!

I guess it would be safe to say you can't, but it may help point you in a particular direction. Personally, I gave up on this problem, code sits on my car forever, and never seems to effect performance. I truly do not believe it is a problem with the turbo in all cases, it is likely more related to some sort of air flow problem somewhere. In the past when I was obsessed with figuring this out, I used to take off my intercooler and clean it up, which cleared the code. Now, I just gave up on it. This indicated to me it was airflow, not wastegate or some other problem. Will see what happens at inspection time though, may not pass with the code, don't know.

I just got the P2263 Code on 2010 RDX 100k miles. (Check Engine Light + 'SH-AWD' + CHECK EMISSIONS light) Car drives perfect, no issues, builds boost. Drives fine. Do you think its Variable Flow Actuator Eye Bolt wore down? Or the waste gate (Turbo Flow Control Actuator)?
I've had the car most its life, for 80k miles, its never been driven hard. Praying its not the $4,500 turbo replacement
I have cleared the code at local mechanic. I will try to replace air filter (i replace annually), and find, then clean the MAF... will report back
Please suggest any other actions

Did you pass inspection?

As for inspection, no problems.
I have been through all the diagnostic measures laid out in these forums. With no solving it and no performance issues, I gave up on it. I no longer care that the engine light was on.
No idea why the code cleared this time.
Sorry not much help.
