So after much tweaking, I have reverted back to stock BPV with new silicone tubing. Not as audible as an aftermarket BPV. No more backfiring, but faster response when punching the pedal.
So far Forge Motorsports has regretfully pulled the project for RDX aftermarket BPV. Due to inability to properly tune the Forge BPV, the research and development kit died with me unless I can find a tuner shop willing to work with me. At least I fixed the backfiring problem.

The blue tube you replaced is the bpv return/recirculation hose. The bpv is a pull-type and the pressurized air enters from the bottom, thru the 2 bolt flange. It vents thru the nozzle and recirculates backe into the turbo inlet pipe, before the compressor. It needs to do this because the rdx uses a maf-based intake. It physically counts the air coming o
from the airbox. If this air doesn't go into the engine and it doesn't stay in the closed loop (ie: vented to atmosphere), you'll run rich eveytime the bpv opens. It'll hang open at idle and it'll make it stuble and probably stall out any time you come off the throttle.

ive noticed this backfire kind of thing as well that sounds like a dreadful metal on metal sound. i have a cpe intake as well and ive found that as i shift from 1 - 2 if i hit the paddle to shift up in the high rpm and then lift of the gas right as the car is doing the shifting, the metal sound wont happen and i just get right back on the gas. see if that helps.
i've noticed this egg smell too and people now call my car the "stinky egg" because they hear the turbo through the intake and say my car has alot of gass.
