Back window noise

I've had my new 2011 RDX (AWD + Tech) for a couple of weeks now. A great upgrade from my RSX.

One thing I've noticed is that if I roll down one or both back windows, I start to get a REALLY loud rythmic booming noise at around 40mph and up - like a harmonic wind noise. If immediately stops when you roll down one of the front windows or moonroof part way.

Seems like a bit of a design flaw if you can't roll down a back window without rolling down a front one. Of course, this is my first 4-door car, so maybe this is something common to 4-doors?

Does anyone else get the same thing?

yes, once you're above 25-35, it gets really bad. Just crack open a front window and you're golden. Not sure if this is a 4 door car thing, the RDX is my first 4 door as well...

Thanks! Good to know that it's not just mine. My RSX had a similar noise when I opened the sunroof without opening any windows. And like you said, the noise went away if you just cracked a windows open.
