Is the AC covered under warranty?
Hi guys,
My 08 RDX AC doesn't blow cold air like it use to be, nor does it blow warm air. It's just blow cool air so my question is does the AC cover under the warranty? My RDX only got 35k mileage on.
Does any know the answer or had this problem with their RDX?
Thanks guys.

The thing is that the nearest Acura dealer is 45-50 miles from here. I might have to call and schedule an appointment to have them check it out. Hope for the best... Thanks.
Hmmm, mine has been working good on most days, but every few weeks it will not cool well. Plus at times I'm getting "smoke" from the vents. Not all the time, but every few weeks at random. Is anyone else seeing this? I fear taking it to the dealer and they find that everything is okay on that day.

dealers charge for inspection if they find the problem is not covered under warranty and you do not get the problem fixed from them. When my a/c stopped blowing cold air, they determined a rock flew in the front grill and punched a hole in the condenser. not covered under warranty since its physical damage. dealer wanted over a grand. got it fixed locally for 600... hopefully thats not what happened to you tho

Yeah, you may want the dealer to check that out because I had a leak in my A/C compressor. They ended up replacing the whole damn unit. My indication wasn't smoke though...it was clearly dust. Dust that you were able to see and taste...freaking nasty. Here was my post of the whole ordeal.

Not worrying about it anymore since I trade in for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata (limited) and love it. I miss the turbo power of the RDX, but what for I'm getting for it's worth it.
Most likely not. My experience with my 2007 RDX Acura is that nothing is covered under warranty - they always find a way out - usually they say sit was caused by "routine wear and tear" or lack of regular maintenance. Good luck. I've tried two different dealers and this is consistent.

- That a product will break exactly after the manufacturer's warranty has expired and precisely when the extended warranty is in effect. Sure, it's possible, but unlikely.
- That the cost of the repair will exceed the cost of the warranty. Surveys of Consumer Reports subscribers reveal that the costs are fairly close most of the time.
- That the product is likely to break in the first place. According to our data, most products are quite reliable and have not broken during the first three or four years of ownership.
- That you're going to want to have the product fixed. Perhaps surprisingly, many readers surveyed said they didn't bother seeking repairs because they desired a replacement product that had either new features, more power, greater flexibility, more advanced technology, or improved energy efficiency.
