1G RDX with water tenperature and bracking sistem fail
Hi everyone, I have a 2008 RDX that gives me headaches because I am from Eurpoe/Romania and this ia a very rare model for us! I has enthusiast about this first honda turbo engine but for like 1 months already I have a problem that the mechanic and electrical guys don’t know how to fix.
The water level is rising to the max but the engine ia running good and also I have the Vsa/abs/sh-awd/check engine lights on. Does anyone else had the same issue?
Not sure how I didn't see this thread sooner. Hope you see this reply.
Couple things:
1. The first step to diag this is pulling the codes, Honda ABS codes are proprietary, so you need an OBDII scanner that can read them. A couple models I have that can read these codes are Foxwell NT510 (get the Honda version) and Launch Creader Elite. The latter requires wifi and an internet connection for the initial setup fyi. I'd guess you have a bad wheel speed sensor which is causing the ABS / VSA / SHAWD systems to complain, but the codes will tell you.
2. When you say "The water level is rising to the max" do you mean the coolant in the overflow reservoir? If so that's normal, don't worry about it. Hopefully you're not talking about that little display under the speedometer - that your oil temperature gauge and if that's going to the max that's BAD. It means your engine is overheating. Do not start the car until you get this resolved - overheating is one of the few ways to ruin this engine.
