I know i should have been more careful.

Was trying to change the "Engine" air filter and lost one of the four bolts holding the air filter assembly.

Tried searching for it for a couple of hours but had no luck finding it.

The screw i lost was the one closest to the battery. Was able to replace the filter, start the engine and everything seems to be fine other than the missing screw.

Any suggestions for hidden places which i may have overlooked / joints from where i can buy a bolt / Other suggestions are appreciated.

I find dealers will replace things if you mention it just fell out

 

Take one of the screws out (careful not to drop that one!) and bring it to the hardware store and just get a matching replacement to fit the lost screw.

I tried that already. Took it by autzone and home depot. Could'nt find it at either place.


The screw is sort of special with a small groove in it.

That sounds like a good idea. Probably my only option if i cant buy these OEM screws online. Thanks buxtons.
