Track Day!!
I'm not sure if hondata has cracked it yet. My best guess is its to limit torque that could kill the drivetrain. But yet if you disable the brake switch, throttle plate percentage can open all the way. But the sh awd light comes on and it's fwd.
I can see it as a safety measure, but at the same time enabling changes to this would allow the opportunity to test parts to the point of fail for those that want to. Is that 20% limitation essentially was causes the vehicle to lag for a sec off the line? I know it's not the turbo. Not even tiny turbos go from zero to zoom that abruptly.
The TPlate limit at 0mph is both a torque limiting measure as well as a safety thing.
Ever since the Pruis floormat debacle, a throttle interlock is standard on pretty much everything. One would think that it would also apply at speed, though, too, as to prevent a runaway situation.
I asked Hondata about this recently, and they have no plans to make this a definable parameter.
