I haven't check if we have room for it or not.
Plus TMIC seems easier to install by yourself instead of a FMIC.

Someone just needs to get an RBC Intake manifold and Frankenstein a FMIC up. I'd love to do it if I had the machining available. It'd end up looking like a boxer engines set up.

Wish someone had the time and know where to have the FMIC done.

I would worry that with the FMIC it would lean out the F/A mixture. From what I read here Hondata is not up for any further tuning, there is hardly much interest in the down pipes and the tranny is untested for high HP applications.

IMHO I think we are stuck with a sporty little SUV. Entertaining enough pretty much as is, or at least with Hondata and a couple of other mods...

that is a wrong assumption. having a front mount only increases the efficiency of the charge air meaning that instead of having heat soak from a top mount and the engine not running as efficient,it would make it so that you would be a cooler charge most of the time.. although you can gain a lil by being tuned with one as the tuner can add a smidge more timing cuz you wouldnt have to worry about it heating up the air.

the issue with your air fuel would be from changing out your intake as that plays a big part in the scaling of the maf sensor.

having a bigger top mount though would be nice

it already does look like a boxer setup. if the top cover wasnt on it . the only difference is the way the heads are. even the turbo is in a similar location.

A bigger TMIC would be fine with me also if someone can play around to see if the subaru ones would line up with the RDX.

I recall someone try to see if the CX-7 would work but it didn't. =(

i havent yanked the rdx one yet but if someone had a pic of the bottom of a rdx intercooler i can see what would need to be done if so. could be as simple as getting a modified y pipe.

Here are some pictures - not sure if this helps.

It would be great to have at least a bigger TMIC.
The stock ones gets very hot quickly.

I try to find better pictures and update this thread when possible.

it looks doable with a custom made inlet pipe. the sti intercooler has 2 inlets on the bottom so one would have to be plugged. and maybe some fab work to mount it also. it would be almost 3 times the size as the stock rdx. and some radiator paint to hide the sti logo so it dont look ghetto. but another thing to look into would be a turbo blanket for the turbo hotside and ceramic heat coating for the down pipe.
