Standalone RDX ECU now available
It seems that a few of you were interested, so here goes. This consists of a new Acura RDX ECU and Hondata reflash.
The standalone RDX ECU is simply plug and play. Plug in and drive. Total down time about 10 minutes and likely the fastest performance upgrade you will install.
All performance specifications are the same as the reflash only. Available immediately.

You just remove your stock ECU, put it away and plug in the Hondata ECU and drive. When and if you sell the car, you simply put the stock ECU back in and sell the Hondata ECU.

The page is really updated now, but the immobilizer question still persist

Neither a new or used ECU will function with your car until the immobilizer system has been programmed to match your keys. This is something only an Acura dealer can do. A new ECU will also require a VIN number to be programmed into it. Again this is a job for your Acura dealer.
