RDX Rooftop Cargo Box

Has anyone installed a rooftop cargo box? Would like to get some feedback/recommendations on the best option for RDX. Also, want to see some pics if anyone out there has one. I'm looking to expand our storage space for family vacations.

Thanks!

Hi all,

First post though have been an avid reader of this forum for the longest time.

I just recently purchased a Yakima RocketBox 15 for my RDX. Like you djbarber, I needed it for an one week family vacation (2 adults & 2 kids). Other then some water getting into it during the rain (which I am asking Yakima and Rack Attack about), it worked quite well in expanding the cargo capacity.

Hope it helps.

LC.

RDX Dad,
Thanks for the info..do you have any photos of the box installed? Trying to figure out best one to get (Thule or Yakima) and what length works best to avoid inteference with the rear rooftop antenna.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about getting a roof top box. Have the factory rack installed and I'm also concerned about interference with the antenna. I know you can screw the antenna off and it's only 7 bucks for a replacement one. You also should be able to mount the box further up towards the front of the car also.
