New been 2012 RDX

Ok guys I've been reading through the posts and I'm not sure what to get..so far I dropped the KN filter in the stock box..I wanna know what down pipe will not activate the check engine light. .2nd if I can install the CPE INTAKE with the down pipe without the re flashing of the computer. .I've had many RX7s in the past and know the endless possibilities of upgrades and potential problems that come..so any advice is welcome..thank you

Yes and no I could probably get away with getting a sticker for emissions. I'm more worried about the computer adjusting to the changes...With more air and less constricted exhaust my RDX should fly....has anyone ever had a detonation problem? I wanna use the truck as a daily driver..advice please! !!!

in your case get this list: RV-6 catted down pipe, CP-E intake, DW-800cc injectors, ETS intercooler, and lastly FLASH-PRO.

this will make a good reliable daily driver, THAT will pass emissions.

this will ensure you have a fun daily with no cel and a lot more flexibility in tuning.

With many of the mods mentioned, your car can be very civilized. On highway, from 65 MPH...I provide ~10-15% TPedal (gas pedal) no problems reaching 80-100 in short order -5th gear.

Drop down to 4th, 3rd gear - you can avoid most problem drivers/situations, and make sudden lane moves with great predictability.

HOWEVER - do the responsible thing - if you're adding GO power...improve your chassis, and most of all - STOPPING power. As with any mod project - run the financials on how far your willing to go, and make the car balanced. Power is nothing without control. Once all the mods are in place...consider a BBK or at LEAST performance pads, braided lines, and fluid are a minimum.

I frequently carry additional luggage, multiple roof/tow racks, items, etc and my my little human (+ her stuff) in the car. Gross weight adds quickly. The lame-o stock brakes can fade quick, and require aggressive engine braking. With the (front) BBK installed...brake fade is a thing of the past AND I can drive aggressively if needed without deceleration concern(s).

Daughter and I traveling to New England through a snow storm (yes!!) Will all our stuff fit in the RDHORSE?

YES...with room to spare. Car performed very well.

LOL...We had a portable freezer/refrigerator in the "boot"...that consumes space. Just daughter and I - inside. I usually lower the front passenger seat - sans headrest, so she can roll in first class.

Thanks, now I'm looking at the RV6 downpipe, do you install the de fouler for the O2 sensor? Or does the flash pro take care of that..and I know this has been brought up before but KN typhoon vs. The CPE INTAKE, it has 2 different filters and that pre filter...since my RDX is 2012..I'm looking and they don't make it for 2012 (K&N)..so guys please be patient with me..I'm making arrangements to start I ordering parts..just need your help..
1) flash pro
2) cpe intake or KN
3) RV6 downpipe with or without defouler for O2 sensors?
4) 800 injectors. .what brand? 2 or 4 of them?
5) upgrade on brakes and rotors?? What brand?
Slotted or not?
6) the intercooler I'm not gonna change till the spring...do you guys have noticeable difference with the ETS?
Thanks in advance
Erik

The defouler is included with the downpipe. You can also use flashpro to take care of the sensor.

We are currently having a sale on the downpipe and also sell Flashpro. You can add it with purchase of downpipe.
