new to this

Hey everyone,
i recently picked up an 07 tech package rdx from my work and was wondering what issues i have to look out for with my new vehicle.
it currently has 139k and change on the odometer and will go up since it is my only car.
I know about the valve cover issue and the steering rack issue already. Anything else i should know about?

Oh, thanks for letting me know. First I ever heard of this. Guess that is a good thing right?

Anyways, hello and welcome to the forum! Really there is one last thing to worry about and that revolves around the ac clutch failing. My ac is good, but apparently it is a common thing with rdx's and crvs. I would change out the tranny, diff, and sh-awd clutch fluids as a preventative measure and then should be good to go!

Another thing people usually do at 100k miles (are you canadian? Can't tell) is they adjust the tensioner for the timing chain, or something like that, can't remember exactly but something to do with timing chain.

im very close to canada but im from nys. Managed to check my service history the timing chain adjustment was done already. But new spark plugs are in order as well as wiper blades this week. Hopefully in 2 weeks ill be ordering my brakes for sure as this thing is a tank weight wise compared to my last 3 cars.

Yup my ac failed earlier this year. Never bothered to replace it. I have the same miles on my rdx as well. Haven't done much maintenance wise other than oil change. Previous owner had everything done by the dealer. But I'll be changing all the drivetrain fluids for something aftermarket here soon.

@the wrench116 i am guessing its a coolants by pass hose right now. I went through about 40 dollars worth of coolant to keep the car from over heating. Wont leak when idling but after a short i mean short drive coolant and steam every where. I just hoping i didnt nip the hose when i pulled the intercooler off. Going to feel around in the morningsince its pitch black by 430pm by me now

Ended up getting both coolant issues fixed on saturday afternoon on was the upper coolant housing. The secondwas in the hard line the runs over it with a vacumm line an an intake breather clamped with it
