According to my tracking number the turbo will arrive at Evergreen on thursday. I wanted to go and get a re-tune with the water/meth, but I think I'll wait and see what Evergreen says on thursday and see how long it will take them. My second dyno tune will be filmed also, it's going to be the BIG ONE! I would have made "over 300 with the water/meth" Alex mentioned. I'm kicking myself for not using it. He could have advanced more and added boost with the 100+ octane. Oh well, I'm sure I'll make over 300 with the upgraded turbo and water/meth next dyno.

1 gallon Boost Juice each $8.91- 50/50. I have 4 bottles of this stuff, so I have to use them up first.

1 gallon SuperTech $3.50-$4- 70/30. Then I'll go to superTech, it's cheaper and does the same thing.

They both will put you over the 100 octane mark.

I want to put my water\meth nozzle in the end tank of my ets intercooler but I cant find a decent adapter to go from the nozzle to the supply hose and I want to keep everything short and as hidden as possible. and I might be re-welding the mounting tabs on the ets intercooler cause they don't line up for shit on my setup never did from day one.

Haven't seen any soapy washer fluid. Bad nozzle can make it appear that way. Autozone stuff is good also. $2.29

Why'd you opt not to do e85? I hear it's like race fuel at the pump.

What happens if you run out of water/meth on the road?

E85 isn't as dense as good old 93 octane and they are both down compared to number 2 diesel. yes it is a higher octane fuel but you would go 1/3 the distance. and while 800cc is overkill for 93 octane it might be marginal because of the quantity of fuel needed per injection event (read it might max his duty cycle). he might need to go to 1000cc or bigger... water meth is a better solution.

E85 I think burns way to fast, and the kit come with a low fluid indicator. With the nozzle spraying at only 10 microns, I think I can get a lot of milage off one gallon. It doesn't spray all the time, just at your desired boost. My low will be around 11psi with a max of whatever psi we go up to on my next tune.

Meth is better for someone who can't or doesn't want to spend the extra coin on e85 components. Proper sized injector, fuel pump and fuel lines if necessary. As long as you have the proper safety switches for the meth kit you'll be fine.

And yes regular washer fluid works very well.

The TiAL blow off valve is looking good with that old school Greddy Type-S purple, it really pops!

Oh, I have my pump and 1 gallon tank mounted on the driver side front bumper. You can just drill in the end tank of the intercooler by the throttle body and use a tap and die set to get your 1/8 thread and be done. I wouldn't run the water/meth until you get it tuned. I have my install, just not using it yet. Ran it before, but it made setup run rich!

I just order a 9 and 7psi spring, I'm getting a little flutter dump at low boost low rpm. At high boost high rpm no problem.

ugh... your suppose to get the -20 not +32. +32 has glycol in it. You know the stuff in coolant. just and FYI it turns everything in your intake tract blue.

I was hoping improved fuel economy was an added benefit by allowing the engine to breathe better and optimizing fueling/timing/boost. I'm really curious (as are others I'm sure) to see even more off-boost fuel economy benefit by your planned turbo upgrade. I'm thinking the compressor wheel size increase and turbine wheel clipping will effectively be the same as using a larger turbo therefore allowing the engine to stay out of boost more often. It's nearly impossible to keep the stock turbo and factory tune out of boost even at the hint of throttle tip-in/increased engine load.

Thanks for being a pioneer in this endeavour...I can see many an RDX benefiting from what you learn and share.

One question Ken...is it possible to control boost with the FlashPro setup?

It's ok, I'm sticking to and will be tuned on "boost juice".

Hey bshotts, thanks for the kind words.

I will have to get a mpg meter so I can get a true mpg reading for the community. I hope to get even better mpg with the upgraded turbo.

You're right about the boost issues we have while normal driving without having a lead foot. Before I could never stay out of boost even if I tried. Now, it's seems if the engine is doing most of the work until you want the beast to come out; which shouldn't be that often unless you want people to look at you crazy because your "RDX SUV" just went 60-100mph in just sec.

I'm sure it is possible to adjust the boost with the flashpro, but it is recommended not to touch the boost. My tuner and the guys at EverGreen suggest to try and get the most out the motor and turbo without increasing the boost. Evergreen "HIGHLY RECOMMENDS" that you not increase the boost over 16lbs. They said their rebuild & upgraded turbos are built for OEM longevity, maximum airflow, and not for over boosting. You will gain enough power with the upgrade, it doesn't need to be over boosted. I Can't wait to get it back from EverGreen. I will post an update ASAP when I do. Stay tuned!

yeah it is but its kind of hard to figure out what your telling it to run and what it is actually running cause the apple app doesn't read boost. and I'm not data logging my daily commute.

Turbo is in, just order gasket and stuff. Shouldn't be long for the final tune.

It was never test fitted. I don't think it necessary, because our Driveshaft is super light.

Im upgrading the turbo, going with a .62.66 precision turbo or maybe a 60-1... i already have a full single 3in downpipe and exhust Vibrant. Waiting for flashpro to fo intercooler, piping, RBC, zdx TB, manifold and change turbo with external wastegate and tune on e85... looking for 400hp+

Did you find a turbo manifold?
