Where to buy Music Link

I've search online and I haven't found any places that ist it right now. I'd prefer to avoid my dealer since buying in the US will be cheaper.

Also, can you install it yourself pretty easily?

Definitely don't purchase the Acura MusicLink. It is quite the inferior product and doesn't deserve to have the acura name on it.

Go with a 3rd party product like the Dice or Neo or USA Spec. You'll be much happier.

All are easy to install. I have a musiclink mounted behind my dash that is disconnected. Used it for about a month before I went and bought the Neo.

Where do I buy the USA Spec or Neo besides Ebay?

Do they both offer full control and display through the OEM stereo? No XM affects?

Thanks for the help.

I bought my Neo directly from Neo at neocaraudio.com. You can get USA Spec from many many different places in the US. Not sure about canada. From there website: "USA Spec products can be found in over 1000 dealer stores nationwide. Please use our dealer locator to find a USA Spec dealer near you"

I hear Dice makes a good product plus Nick@DICE, a member here, will help you out and advise if necessary.

All the ipod kits offer controls through the factory head unit as well as steering wheel control. Some offer text info displayed on the nav screen and secondary display, but using the text feature disables XM radio I think.

I'm getting my RDX next month and was thinking about getting the AcuraLink but after reading this thread sounds like that's not a good idea. So I would like to purchase the Neo. I'll be having XM as well so don't want anything that will distract with that. But the one question I have is how hard is it to install? Will I have to take off the dash or something to hook it up? I'm just afraid of totally screwing something up or breaking something if I do it myself.

I was also thinking of purchasing it and bringing it in when I buy the car so they can install it for me while they add the tow package and roof rack. Any thoughts on that? Of course that'll cost me a couple hundred I'm sure.

Take a look at these instructions, they are pretty much the same no matter what brand of adapter you purchase.

Neo gave the name of an acura tech at my dealer that would install the Neo for me if I wanted the dealer to do the install. Not sure how much they would charge, but I'm guessing it would be high compared to other places.

Edit: Oooops, here's the link....

Sasir I think you forgot to include the link. Thanks for the feedback. I might ask Neo to do the same for me. I did go to this place one time to have them put in an XM received in my wife's car. I'm just wondering if an un-certified Acura technician does it if it voids my warranty.

The only way it would void your warranty is if acura could prove that the install or the adapter is the cause of whatever problem you are having. Not much to go wrong on an install like this. it is all plug-n-play type stuff.
