Hi there,
one more question about my new 2008 RDX, this time about the HFL bluetooth support:

when I receive a call, it works perfectly, but when I actually make a call from the phone itself, it does not automatically switch to the bluetooth mode, so i need to manually switch it. I tried it both on Razor and iPhone - both have the same phenomena. But if you a regular bluetooth handset and dial a number from the phone - it is automatically send the audio to my bluetooth ear.

is it a problem with RDX HFL or am I missing something?

Thank you!!!
Alex

This is by design. You may purposely want to use only the handset, if it is a private call and you don't want others in the car to hear it.

Just press the HFL button on the steering wheel and say "transfer". It will transfer to/from your handset to the HFL system.

Thanks.
Sounds like you are right, but considering the fact that RDX does not support normal phonebook, they should expect that dialing from the phone itself would be a more common practice and hence put the HFL to be the default....

any way to change/configure this?

I'd like it to do that also. Until then, if you know the number, the voice recog. works good for me. That way I don't have to pick up the phone at all. To be able to use the speed dial and have it default to the HFL would be nice too.

Why not just program the name into the HFL so you don't have to remember the number?
