The base screen is not even a dot matrix black and white display, so its not possible.

what is it then? Just an LCD screen? Doesn't really look like one.

The base screen is an LCD screen, and so is the tech package screen, but totally different kind. The base LCD screen is like an LCD watch. The segments are either on(white) or off(black), just like the secondary display on the top of the dash.

If you run the base screen through its diagnostics, you can see all the segments lit up at once I think. You can also do this with the secondary display....

there is no secondary display on the base model, and the LCD looks completely different on the base than it did on the tech secondary and like it does on clock radios and the like, which is why I suspected it was possible to modify it.

Guess not.

Has anyone been brave enough to try to remove/replace the base screen? Anyone with disassembly experience?

Soooo..... are you planning on creating a FAQ/Sticky "Navi Hacks" for RDX thread, complete with all the files for extracting the .bin, etc....??? just like in the TL forums?

I know I would be VERY appreciative

You never did say if you were able to get rid of the nag screen...

Sasair,
Where did the teaser shots come from? Was it an early version of the firmware?

The Acura splash screen can be hacked, just the nag screen hasn't been hacked yet.
