Yea, I gotta have one of these. Being an Apple junkie I admit I'm a bit biased*. But they're going for ~$500 with a 2 yr commitment with Cingular. Not available until June - still needs FCC approval. Can't wait.

Did you notice the Apple TV? It almost got lost in all the iPhone hype. Can you say HDMI hub cause it will be a must.

*See my wife's podcast at podfeet.com and it will help explain the world I live in. We are committed to two product families: Honda/Acura and Apple. She even has a large white Apple logo on her TL's rear window.

Does Acura continue to evaluate new phones as they are introduced?

I was at a dealership last night and inquired about the bluetooth recognizing phones. I had felt any Bluetooth standard should work.

So, the sales guy helped me quickly pull up the config with a passcode. Then I put my phone in Bluetooth mode and the two found each other and I just had to enter the temporary 4-digit passcode on my phone and voila! Connected!

I have a Samsung phone with T-Mobile that was not listed on the Honda/Acura website, but no problems encountered, FWIW.

That iPhone has definitely raised the bar. Nothing comes even remotely close to it.

Yeah, that is one slick phone. And it runs Mac OS X, which is pretty cool -- that means I could actually develop software for it, which has got me thinking.....

doesnt have 3G, i'll wait. I currently tether my LG phone with 3g service to my macbook for high speed wireless connectivity.

Hope they add that before its released in June.

for the features and functionality that the iPhone has, 3G vs EDGE is not a big deal breaker for me. The fact that I don't need to carry my macbook pro around with me and still have what it has far outweighs the slightly slower speed. PLus we don't even know what class EDGE it has yet. I would imagine that the product we see released in June will not be 3G since I would think they would have to get new FCC approval for that. I'm sure it will be in future releases though as will more memory. The new Apple bluetooth headset looks pretty cool too.

The funniest thing was the picture Steve Jobs first put up when introducing the iPhone. A photoshoped picture of an iPod with a big rotary dial where the clickwheel goes....

It appears as though they do. The first time I looked at the HFL website with the list of phones, the Q wasn't out yet, but it's on there now.

All the way, baby! All the way. I've converted a few friends (and my brother and parents) to Apple, and I'm always trying to convert everyone to Honda/Acura.

I have to find another old-school Apple decal for my new RDX as I sold my Element. Guess I could use a white one, would probably look a little better with my black RDX. Interesting, I tend to see a lot of Apple stickers on Hondas. A boatload of Element people are Apple aficionados as well.

That phone is SWEET.

The white Apple sticker does look good (assuming you don't put it in the middle of your windshield  ) Wife's TL is black and it looks good on hers.

Hadn't noticed the Element/Apple correlation - I'll watch for that.
