Heated seats hot?

I just picked up my 2009 RDX, and had a question about the heated seats. Do you find that they actually get warm, or are they weak? My wife and I have tried them a few times and can't feel any heat when they are on High. Before I ask the dealer to take a look I wanted to find out if they're just on the weak side or maybe take a long time to warm up.

Mine take about 3 minutes to get hot and they get fairly warm - definitely noticeable.

My 2007's seats don't get that hot. They get toasty, but not hot. They also cycle on and off, and the hysteresis loop is large.

Ummm it is the summer so you're probably not feeling the true temperature since it's at least 70 degrees outside (90 where I am right now). I'm sure they're fine. Mine get nice and toasty.

I'm pretty sure that I remember the owner's manual recommending using the high setting until the seat is nice and warm, then switch it to low. low does not cycle on and off like high does.

Stevel is correct.....I remember reading that as well. I normally only need it on high for 5 minutes then my butt is burning and can turn it to low.

Same here, i can feel the heat on high after 2 minutes, and after 5 minutes it's way too hot.

They get pretty warm in my opinion. Definitley noticeable but not overdone by any stretch... never had a problem with a heated seat being too hot or too cold. They all seem to work about the exact same.

The seats in the RDX get warm, but not as warm as our Passat.

I had a 2003 Acura CL Type-S and it's heated seats got very hot. None the less they burnt out in April 2008 after using them all winter. I took that as a sign it was time for a new car (had the CL for 5 1/2 yrs at this point) and bought my 2008 RDX. The RDX seats do get decently warm but not as hot as my CL did.

I will need to pay closer attention to that. I've only had my RDX a few days and only used the heated seats twice (once as the driver and once as a passenger) and really can't say I noticed them warming up at all. In my husband's Avalanche they become uncomfortably hot.

my 07 is decently warm, but no where as hot as the mini, vw, audi i had. I'd say it's just right! i have no idea how some people are able to stand the butt stove in the german cars.
