Have you heard of these guys? mp3carpros.com

I was at my Acura dealer getting an A service and was talking to him about options for iPod integration. Right now I have a 3.5mm cable that plugs into the docking part of my iPod. It works great but I now have an iPhone as well.

The dealer mentioned mp3carpros.com - more specifically he recommended this iPod integration system for the Acura RDX 2008. It looks like it does everything I want which includes:
  • displays iPod screen on Nav screen with XM capability (which I have)
  • Integrates with satellite radio and doesn't take that channel away
  • provides power to iPod
  • can use steering wheel controls to navigate iPod
  • doesn't lock out iPod screen and while when playing
This looks like a pretty good deal. And the dealer has installed a few of these into other Acuras and he said they've been working well. It would be nice to know that I've installed a product that the dealer has experience with, even though they can't really "approve" the system.

I will also state that I have looked at the DICE iPod and others as well.

I just had this installed in my car a couple weeks back, it works ok. I'm not used to a slight delay in response when I press something, but that can just be me wanting some instantaneous feedback. Also, when your iPod is plugged in, it takes the XM1 spot, so you'll have to move your presets to XM2 to maintain your stations. Sound-wise, it sounds better to me than through the Aux jack. Happy hunting...

fopaul13 - So just to clarify, I'll only be able to have 6 preset stations with Satellite instead of 12? That kind of sucks but I guess the pros outweigh the cons on this one.

What does the display look like? What data is shown? I also assume it works with phone integration, meaning the music pauses if a call comes in and then resumes when the call is ended using the HFL.

Thanks for getting back to me.
