When I bought my 2007 RDX Technology, the display on the dash (near the windshield) used to display the song and artist while driving. I had to unplug the battery, and naturally, it has gone back to the default of only showing the song/artist at the beginning of every song and then just displaying the channel for the majority of the time.

How do I set the display to show the song/artist for the majority of the time like I had it?

I should note this setting is only for XM. I don't want to confuse anyone to think that the RDX has RDS technology in it.

Had the same problem when I had the battery replaced. There is a "mode" button on the radio panel, top right. It will set various display items in the audio display under the windshield. Artist only, song only, XM setting only. So rotate through the choices and leave the one you want. Note, do not confuse this "mode" button with the one on the steering wheel, it is not the same.

i tried this one but nothing seems to happen when pushing this button.. does it need to be in some sort of setting/setup menu to work? i tried it when in xm and audio and tried all the setting/setup menu, cant seem to make this "mode" change to work..

 

I did this when the radio was on XM, engine running, and every time the info would step through the changes listed. No other buttons needed to be pushed, just the "mode" button on the radio panel. Note, this changes the info on the MID under the windshield, not the audio screen in the dash.
