4.63, now 4.64. what's up?
OK, i saw on this forum that 4.63 was up, so i downloaded it. now acura has 4.64 on their site, with no sign of 4.63. was the 4.63 version ever actually released? anybody know the difference between 4.63 and 4.64?
If you ask me, people would be stupid to pay for this. There's no sign of 4.62 anymore - which was the original 2008 update, and was not orderable (except by dealers) up until now. Now, with a slight version number change it's available to order. Since the 2009 update will probably arrive in the fall, what would be the point in upgrading now?
Unless they're not planning a 2009 update...

How/Where did you "download" the 4.64 update? Did you mean you ordered a new DVD? Any info will be appreciated.
I had mine at the dealer today to have the naviscreen replaced. It was jumping, and changing colors. The software says 4.64 1.67.03 I believe this is the latest, he said it just came in. I believe he said it was the 2009 software. I'm interested to see whats different.

According to the Acura Navi order website, that's just the latest 2008 update. The 2008 update (originally 4.6x) wasn't available to order by end users for MANY months due to an apparent bug, and it just became available a few weeks ago as v4.64. There doesn't appear to be much different with 4.64. I'm expecting (more hoping for) the 2009 update to be released in Oct like it normally is...
Maybe I'm being optimistic.

I have to say...finding the ISO for 4.64 seems damn near impossible.
I tried burning 4.63 the other day and it was pretty much unreadable by my car. I think I'll need to burn it at a slower rate or something and cross my fingers next time.
