No point getting the new disc if you have the 2011 ones already and not even close to that area.

 

funny that there are a ton of new roads in vegas that arnt even on the 2011 disk that has been done for a while and this only covers that much hahah. damn here goes more money down the drain for nothing. glad i got my update for free.99

I have the v4.81 disk for both the RDX and TSX. We also have the wife's iPhone as back-up for addresses the Acura system can not find on the DVD.

Acura should make a smart phone dock and have it display the desktop on the Navi screen. You can then use your smart phone as an input device.

 

I just bought my 08 RDX a couple of weeks ago and it had the 08 disc in it (which didn't have my home street on it.) I did order the 12 disc online and it has all the updated streets in my area including my home address (the house was built in 06 and didn't start popping up on GPS until 09-10 as far as I've ever seen.)

 

If anyone is uprgrading to the 2012 and has a 2010 or 2011 disc that they want rid of let me know. I'm getting really tired of the RDX telling me I'm offroading when I go to and from my house.

For the guys who have upgraded their navigation discs from an 07....does this also change out the look of your menu display or does it ONLY upgrade the maps?

 

It's been a while so this is from memory but I think it was map updates, POI updates and a software upgrade to improve the performance of the backup camera (which actually did make a big difference). I don't remember it changing the look of the menu display though...

My new disc arrived today. Loaded it up, it did a 5 minute software update and that was it. Drove over to get a coffee and noticed that I'm no longer travelling over fields to get to Starbucks. To answer Catnips question, version 4.A2 has 6.45M POIs so it looks like 450,000 places got less interesting...

 

Loaded mine on Monday. I'm no longer off road on a few roads here, also. Rear cam seams to be clearer.

 

Loaded mine up yesterday. The rear cam def looks sharper and so does the main screen.

 

i missed the $99 deal and its $149.99 + shipping, im on the 08 disc and need the update bad but i want to wait for another $99 deal.
