Would you purchase?

Hi guys, im very interested in the RDX. I found one locally that was rolled over and the roof is "twisted" as he put it., It only has 31,000km on it, is fully loaded (dvd, leather interior, gps....) and the interior minus the airbags deployed is mint. All glass except windshield is fine as well, and looks as if only the drivers side and roof is damaged body wise.

Now i realize i will have no warranty on this, but hes only asking $6000 canadian. Im thinking i could fix up and drive for about 20 grand total. The roof is "twisted" and i'm told the frame IS NOT bent. I'd have it fully checked out before purchased but figured i'd post on here first before checking out. Let me know your thoughts guys!

Thanks very much.

If it will have a salvage title, which is sounds like it will, then no.

Don't be so affraid of the salvage title....car is not worth anything, true, but you shouldn't pay much for it either....sooo.....who cares....

Anyone care to explain why they wouldn't ? hehe

The lowest 2007 i can find with decent km's is $33k, that means i'm gonna pay 13 grand for the warranty and no salvage title. I think im going to go check it out, i dont' really need the vehicle i was just kinda looking for a project to do.

Also, just found out the two front airbags weren't deployed as well, which is another $2k less then i'd thought i'd have to pay to fix.

I tell you what, I have owned two salvage cars before with no issues, one had floor damage, and off course after 160K miles the electrical gremlins started to become an issue (but it was an old Saab anyways, and they get gremlins at that age anyways), and the second one that i got from my father in law was another Saab...actually two of them....the front end from one car and the rear from another....the car ran until my brother in law crashed it....it was worth nothing, so I stripped some parts and sold it for scrap....
IMO depending on the reason why it's salvaged, you should not be affraid, just aware of what you are buying and the kind of problems that you will need to deal with...
