Wood Trim - Dark, disappointed

I am disappointed with the wood trim.

It is much darker that what is shown on the Acura web site and what I saw in my dealer's accessory brochure.

My dealer is aware of this and is consulting with their Service Rep.

When I went to pick up my RDX, it was late evening, no sunlight. Once I told my dealer that trim did not match the pictures and that I was not happy with it, she agreed that it was not representative of the pictures as well.

I was expecting something similar in color to what is in our MDX, although not shiny.

So, my question, does anyone else have the Acura wood trim and is it dark?

The demo I drove had it, it was very dark with a flat finish. I would have paid extra to cover the wood!

I personally didn't like the wood trim in one I test drove. It looked cheap. But that's just my opinion.

The main reason why I wanted to go with RDX over Lexus is the suspension and all the wood trims (fake or not). I just think others have used them too much and too often.

Wood trims? Aren't you worried about termites?

Acura installs only high-quality, termite proof wood trim . However it is still too dark for my taste.

Anyone else have the wood trim yet?

I also took an RDX with dark wood trim for a spin. I did not like it
Never been a fan of wood trim.. no matter what color/shade. I am ordering my RDX with the silver trim.

Of course I'm serious, I'm always serious. Wood trims equal termites.

But serriously, you do have the right to refuse to buy if something not what you expect. I hard time picking the color and rims because the dealer had nothing on the lot for me to look at and the website and brochures colors were a lot lighter than what you get. Look at the Royal blue and Red RDX they look so light on the website. I don't know what to say to fix it. Can they at least replace the trims at the dealer?

Wood Trim

Just curious, why would you want a wood trim on a high tech style RDX ? I think the silver trim match perfectly with the RDX's style and image

I agree. The silver trim suits the vehicle's interior.
