Windows

Had driver door replaced because of accident (son remodelling !) window goes up to the top but then comes back down on own, won't stop at closed position. Worked after accident no problem. problem occurred after changing hardware to new door. Mechanic had it all apart again and has not found problem.. Ideas.

not sure if they are equiped with a safety sensor that prevents it from going up if something is blocking it.. you could call the dealership and ask.. if so then it could be that.. they may give you a line about bringing it in to see but they should beable to tell you a yes or no answer.. if they dont know call a different dealer..

Search, there is a solution. I think you just have to roll it down and then back up and hold on to the button for 2 seconds when the window is all the way up. But don't quote me as this is my memory of a post from a couple years back...

yeah mine does this too on the passenger door.
Don't let it "auto" up, just go back up in small increments, and it'll seal.
OR if you're under warranty, have them replace sensor and motor....
