wheel locks...wtf?

So I got a free set of wheel locks with the vehicle and I'm looking at them and don't get it. The key doesn't seem to fit over the locks, and I notice inside the key there is this grooved star pattern that looks like it's supposed to mate with something but where? Never seen wheel locks like this before so can someone please enlighten me as to what I'm missing here?

My wheel lock nuts don't have the star groove on the back as seen in this image. They are totally smooth and the lock doesn't even fit over it. Safe to say I got a bum set? Anyone?

there should be a star for each hub because that is the lock for the wheel - u should have regular lugs and 1 star on each wheel. the set includes 4 stars and 1 key. seems odd that you dont have a matching set.

maybe the locks are installed and still in the package. u might have to take one lug off of each wheel and replace it with the lock

I'm pretty sure that blister pack was sealed...I think, but maybe the dealer did already install the wheel locks on all 4 tires and what I am looking at are the 4 regular lug nuts? I'll check it out tomorrow and now that I think about it that makes the most sense.

I have bought two Hondas that came with locks "at no charge" from different dealers, and the practice was to install the locks, and put the four "regular" lug nuts in the blister package with the key. Definitely look at the wheels first...I will bet that they are there.

yup, they most likely would have been installed for you already. in my case, i actually asked them NOT to install those lock nuts and opted for something else for free (eg. all weather floor mats)... but that's just me and ive already heard people saying that the 2010 stock rims arent really "objects of desire"
