Installed the weaponR intake today and woooow the sound difference is unbelievable. I did not think it would sound this beautiful...highly recommended for anyone who just wants to do minor mods...ill post a few pics tomorrow when i get off work!...i still want to get a complete exhaust system for my car but im not trying to pay 1k for it...what do you guys recommend?

I would absolutely do this mod if I could install some sort of switch to turn it on and off lol.

 

just dont give it throttle and then it wont make that sound =) DONE..

 

That is a statistical impossibility. Absolutely can't drive it without activing vtec yo!......ummmm lol.

I had an air intake installed on the RDX, but after a while I was really annoyed by it (and I owned a Mazdaspeed3, Mazdaspeed 6 and GTI, all with CAI!)
I re-installed the factory intake but left out the air box resonator out. The sound is now perfect!

 

I had one on my phone before it got deleted. I will take one for you tomorrow and post it. I REALLY like how it turned out.

Here is another pic, why is it sideways again...also yes my engine bay could use some tlc...but the weather has been so rainy, no point. Oh and it was dark when I took the pictures, but the red is very bright, deep red.

Yeah I realize it would be polarizing. But it is under the hood so not visible until I open the hood and also easily removable since it is plastidip

 

what else do you plan on doing with the RDX? what other upgrades are you considering?

 

I am currently debating between hondata or going for the full deal with flash pro. If I go flash pro, then I am going to upgrade the injectors to 800cc. I feel confident in the current turbo's abilites so I don't think I will upgrade it, but that could come down the line. My next plan is the progress rear sway bar, 20" rims with a higher offset for better handling and then possibly a small suspension drop (something like 1" max). I was considering the atlp exhaust, but at $1100...not worth it for me and I did want to do the ets intercooler, but also near $1k so not sure. Currently have all plans on hold till the canadian dollar goes up to at least 90 cents on the american dollar, otherwise I am paying 25% bonus on top of everything and I obviously would rather not lol.

 

Where did you purchase your weapon-r intake for your 2010? I've been looking for mine, and all I can find is one for 2007/08. Shouldn't it also fit 2009-12 as they're the same generation? Just making sure I don't but an intake that doesn't ft.
