Turbo-eye install gone horribly wrong.

I dropped the inconveniently non-magnetic stainless-steel hex adjuster that connects the new turbo eye to the actuator. It didn't make it to the ground and I cannot find it with mirrors, a bright flashlight and patience. Assuming I get to the point where I give up, any tips on how to find a replacement? NFW is Acura or Ace Hardware going to have one...

Thanks in advance; hating myself atm.

Could buy this off the Bay; $108 adjuster, yow.

Current plan:

Buy tapped hex stock w/ one side too small, punch out too small wrong-way threads, tap w/ correct left hand thread, trim to length, install.

My advice at this point is to avoid dropping this relatively small and massively bespoke part when repairing your turbo actuator.

New part is made and everything is buttoned up, just waiting for the rtv at the valve cover to harden up. Fingers crossed.

Quick update- the saga continues. The truck runs but is still coding. I started with my ersatz coupler as tight (shortest package) as possible and have gone about as long as possible in one-turn (which I believe will result in a 2mm length change) increments without ever eliminating the coding. I also had a misadventure with replacing the spark plugs which I'll describe elsewhere.

Today I'm going to go a half-turn shorter, reset the codes, and proceed shorter in one-turn increments (the initial half-turn ensures my adjustment points on the way up will be exactly 180*/1mm space from the spots I tried on the way down). I can't imagine the factory install tolerance is tighter than +/- 1mm, but Honda...

And still no relief. I lost the new-made adjuster hex after weeks of dinking around with it so now I've purchased another. If someone could please give me a rough estimate of the length of the factory adjuster I would be greatly appreciative.

Would help you if I knew what/where the part is located. Do I have to take anything off to measure it?
