Sunshade?

Anyone found a sunshade made for the RDX or one that fits very well?

I haven't yet. However, there seem to be ones out there for the 2007 Honda CRV, like this one from Covercraft . Thoughts?

Thanks!

Intro-Tech custom fit sunshade, found at various places. I have used versions of them for years. They are kept in place by the visors, and fit the windshield perfectly and noticeably reduce the temperature in the car. They roll up for storage so they are kind of long. About $40. Last catalog I saw them in was AutoSport, out of Charlottesville, VA. You can get them off ebay also for $25.

They used to be sold at Honda and Acura Dealers for specific cars, but I also got them mail order by calling the company direct. Intro-Tech is a new name, they used to be called something else, and were manufactured out in the Washington Oregon area. Last time I bought one was 2003, so, and I have been buying them since the mid 80's.

The company I ordered from is called HeatShield Sunshades, part of Canvas Works

$34.95 considering I used to pay $29.95 20 years ago, that is not to bad.

These are what I use. I bought one from the dealer for my 1999 TL, and bought one online for my WRX. Very nice quality, but a pain to store since they only roll up. Will buy another for my next car.

FWIW, I just ordered the IntroTech version from Tim at HondaAcuraworld. I have bought several items from him online, with no problems whatsoever. I emailed him, and he said he would get one for me for $32 +3.95 S&H. It would take 2-3 weeks since they did not have any in stock for my car.

Several EBay dealers are selling the IntroTech shade for the RDX for around $26 + $5 shipping. Do a search for "RDX sun shade".

Covercraft now has a RDX pattern available for their UV Interior Sun Shield. The part number is UV11017.

Ordered mine from WWW.CALCARCOVER.COM 1-800-423-5525

The fit is perfect!

I assume you order the "2006 RDX" model?

You already have a built-in sunshade on the RDX as standard equipment. It's the rectangular device above your windshield that folds down. Grab the top and pull down to use.

Goodson Acura in Irving has the HeatShield in the parts dept (well, in the accessory room next to parts. ~$45 with tax. Nice to not have to wait given it is already in the mid 90's here is DFW.

I bought one of the Intro-tech sunshield from EBay. Price was $31 including shipping. It fits pretty well and it has enough thickness to unroll easily and lay pretty flat against the windshield. There is a cutout at the top to fit around the mirror. One side is silver to reflect the sun's heat and there is a coated foam backing to add insulation and stiffness. Note that the RDX's windshield is huge, so the sunshield is also huge. It doesn't roll up thinner than about 1 foot wide and it is about 3 feet tall to fit the windshield.

I bought a basic one at Costco, less than $7 if I recall. Be sure to get the Large size.

Me too. It also had two smaller ones for the side windows, very practical if carrying babies in the back seat.

My sunshade was about $10 from Wal-Mart, but it came with good advice that I'm following carefully. On the back it says:

"Warning, do not drive with sunshade in windshield."
