Saw the 2010 RDX Today
Went to the Acura dealer today to drive another 2009 TSX and the dealer already had a brochure on the 2010 RDX. Not liking the front but the rear looks good. It does have bluetooth audio as a new feature didnt read alot about it but thought i would let everyone know what i thought.

Look here.
Honestly I'm not just saying this because I bought an 09 a month ago..
But that thing looks UGLY.
First..the nose just doesn't do it for me at all. I just don't like that look!
Second..I like the round pipes that the Original TSX and RDX came with...I don't like those rectangular things. And if that bottom piece is all black plastic (which it looks like) I think that will look cheap!
Lastly...Why would Acura put rims that look pretty much EXACTLY like the 06 MDX rims on it? They just don't look right.
If the RDX is going to stay around it sure as hell be better in real life than it is in that little snip-it we got today!

I can try and get more info. I know there are some new colors and i thik it has the USB port dont remember what else because i was sitting there briefly looking through the info booklet it wasnt a brochure. Will see what i can get tommorow.
The 2010 RDX features the Acura family grill that is nicely integrated into the front fascia. Large metallic trimmed faux air ducts house the standard fog lights and the 'blacked out' bumper area forms an aggressive new look.
New for 2010 is the addition of a two wheel drive RDX. This FWD version enjoys a weight reduction of about 200 pounds and coupled with revised gearing, should gain a couple of miles per gallon over the SH-AWD version. (exact EPA figures are not available yet)
The 2.3 liter Turbocharged i-VTEC 4 cylinder returns and it is ratedfor 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The innovative Variable
Flow Turbo (VFT) uses two concentric inlet paths to help the turbine spin up
faster to reduce turbo lag. To insure durability, the VFT uses high strength steel construction with water cooling to protect the vital turbo bearings.
The class leading safety features remain unchanged for 2010. This includes a high strength steel ACE frame and passive safety features like 6 air bags and active head restraints. Acura was recently recognized as being the only brand to have all it's vehicles named as a"Top Pick" by the IIHS and NHTSA simultaneously. This is the first time this has happened in the history of automotive crash testing.
New interior features include a Back Up Camera integrated into the rear view mirror on non-Technology Package RDXs. The Technology package continues to use the Navigation screen as the camera display but now adds useful guidelines superimposed onto the image. Other interior upgrades include: USB iPod integration, Bluetooth Audio, ambient footwell lighting, auto-off headlights, For mainland customers, the Tech RDXs now feature AcuraLink Real-Time weather, traffic re-routing and note functionality for XM radio.

Like the exhaust and the tech upgrades, but the front isn't any better than the 09 and frankly, the rims are fugly, not sporty at all.
Still I chose to save some money and go for the 09, not regretting it at all.

so they bolted on rims basically from the 4 CYLINDER ACCORD, i really hate all the black-lip trim treatment to the back, but i would have to believe a silver/chrome type piece would be an option as it is with the MDX, if not, thats alot of black plastic, back and front, especially with the black plastic housing for the fogs. I think the 1st Gen is much cleaner looking.
I like it myself. The wheels/exhaust tips - I'll have to see in real life. Going FWD only seems to cheapen it IMO, but I guess they can get more sales. I don't like the current wheels - mostly because of the horrid offset.
The front might have a bigger beak, but the whole thing looks more upscale to me.

I think it looks pretty good imo. I would consider it all over again The thing that makes me really happy is that they didn't really change the body at all so my 07 turbo still looks relevant (phew!)
not to mention that the RDX is still alive and using the turbo 4 i love it...
I like the look from the pics, but will have to wait to see it in person for final judgment. If I was not in the market for a new MDX I would trade my '08 for a '10. There is no mention of the '10 on www.hondanews.com yet. They just posted info on the '10 Honda Odyssey.
I like the front...
but maybe only on darker colored cars.
I don't mind the shield look (I bought my rdx in March and its a Polished Metal Metallic) and if I could do it all over again, I'd probably have bought the 2010 just to be up to date but if I had a silver one, the 2009's fine. I have to see it in person but if the sheild color is too close to the hood it flows too closely and I kinda want some contrast. My 2 cents.
FWIW, I've got a hood diffuser now and i'm painting the inner part of the current grill to silver so it kinda looks like the shield but I think the black hole inside the grill looks kinda menacing.

Nah, I find the new 2010 look of the RDX is less aggressive looking compared to the 07-09 RDX front. Also, I find the 2010 looks like a smiley face, similar to the 07 and up CRV. Really don't like it. Glad I got the 08!
the touches are certainly updated & modernize the orginal...just not sold on whether or not its a step forward, a step BACK, or just a side step.
ive never been one to like all the black trim on bumpers, grilles, etc, id rather see a clean painted look, or something similar to how the RL has the running chrome striping. There is just alot of black around the fogs and the radiator, and then the rear - but i guess you could say its now closer to the look, say that of an X3...this will be one to call in person.

Definitely going to have to see this in person. I agree that the front end looks much cleaner but the new changes also make it look less aggressive and more family-friendly. Maybe an optional sports package would fix that (with new front/rear spoilers and tailpipes)?
yeah acura is copying saturn, samething with the new TL they copied it also, here's the proof

whats worse is the added chrome look to the front and not a hint of chrome anywhere else on the vehicle..its out of place.
