RDX Remote Starter
RDX Remote Starter
Just returned from vacation where we had a 2011 Impala rental car and was surprised to find it had the factory remote starter that I was told is standard equipment on that car. My dealer wants around $800 to install it in my RDX, too bad it's not standard on the RDX.
Anyway, has anyone been able to get a better deal on the remote starter, dealer or after market?
Thanks.

Don't get the acura oem remote starter, it is over priced and the engine shuts off when you open the door! You can get a much better 2 way aftermarket system for half that price.
Check out the one I got for my mdx https://acurazine.com/forums/1-2g-mdx-2001-2013-166/my-remote-start-video-808513/

I had an AstroStart 2524 installed in my 2007 Tech last month for $485. I had the same model installed in my 2005 Sienna last year and the previous version (2205) in a Pontiac Vibe and never had any problems. I think the range is even better than advertised.

I have the Acura unit, only because I got a deal on it when purchasing the car. It works fine, has a great range, and no warranty issues/hassles with it (or the car) if anything goes wrong. You know how anal "some" dealers can get
