Question for rear diffuser owners

I believe that the rear diffuser is painted black, right? Is yours always dusty? If I were to get one, I was thinking of having it painted grey or silver. My RDX is white. Thoughts?

Mine never looks very dirty. My RDX is silver & the diffuser never looks as dirty as the silver body or rear window.

Rear Aggresor

I too own a pearl white RDX with the rear diffusor. The diffusor is not really black per-say its more of a dark gray. it really never gets dirty and if it did you wouldn't notice it. All it does is add an aggressive look to the bum of the car.

I wouldn't paint that piece simply because I don't know how well the paint would stick to it. It's kind of got some texture to it so sanding it down would be a pain.

Also my personal opinion is that it wouldn't look that good in gray or silver on white, but to each his/her own.

On a side note, remember that once installed, you can't take it off. Well you can, but you'd end up with 6 holes in your bumper.

Thanks for all of the responses. Since it is dark grey, I will leave it alone. If and when I get one, I guess I will ONLY drill the bottom 4 screwholes and use silicone to glue it on. This way I can simply buy 4 black textured plugs for the bottom holes (which probably can't been seen anyway), peel the diffuser off, and sell the unit when I trade-in the RDX.

+1

I have thought of painting mine slver. It's hard to see, or notice since my RDX is CGP.

I just bought an 08 RDX with TECH package WDP. Look like it already have the rear diffuser and front under spoiler on it. The rear diffuser is white. I didn't pay extra for any accessories or parts. I could be wrong.
