Otd $40,537.04
Otd $40,537.04
Here is what my California dealer has confirmed to me for pricing today, 7/18.
"The RDX with Technology Package inclusive of destination charge is $37,110. The break down for the fees goes as follows. Doc fee $45.00, Taxes $3,065.29, Subtotal $40,220.29, License/Smog Abate $308.00, Gov. Fee (tire disposal) $8.75. If you add all that up you should get $40,537.04"
As I will no doubt add some of the options, the price will go up.
Yes, I could get an MDX for this price, but my wife already has one. I have driven it quite a bit and want something smaller. My previous car was a 1999 CR-V that I gave to my son. What I wanted was an Acura-ized CRV, more nimble than the MDX, faster than the CR-V. The RDX is it and more.

You placed your deposit in January, right? Congrats on sticking through to the end. Don't forget to give us an in depth opinion when you take delivery.
I'm glad I don't live in Cali, $308 license fees would not make me happy.

The deposit was made well over a year ago in January 05.
Looking at the list of items for the price, I had never seen a dealer charge a tire disposal fee before. While it is an insignificant amount, I wonder how they come up with the price. When you buy new tires in Cal, you are charged $2.50 for each tire. So, how did the dealer come up with $8.75?

Same thing over here in NJ. A few years ago, the then gay governor instituted this tax to pay for having his Israeli pal come to Trenton. We even have a word for this - its called 'Trentonitis'.

Stay out of the thread if you nothing constructive to add. There are plenty of other threads you can bitch in.
