First you agree that my independent mechanic is "that good" and then you say how you're different than me because you value quality service... Is the service from my "that good" mechanic not quality service? Do I not value that service?

Well, I've spent the last 10 years traveling all over the country, including your big island, researching and investigating every single Acura Tech; therefore, I've had experience with every single one.....of course, with the turnover which is a constant battle, I've had to revisit city after city...it's a tiresome process but someone has to do it.

It was a generalization based on my previous experience with dealer service techs in the various places I've lived - your mileage may vary, which obviously it does.

Warranty work is covered by manufacturer - Acura, Chevy, Honda, etc... The dealer service shop isn't going to charge you for warranty work...

Do you fail to see the rationale behind this?
*sighs* how did i know you were gonna miss my point. it wasnt abouyt the warranty work... its ok though. at this point ive givin up on trying to explain. hope is wasted on the hopless.

haha sorry to say that "my" Big Island does not have an Acura dealership. only Oahu does. and i highly doubt youve researched every single dealership because you would have known that do you want to get into further details about my dealership and your experience with them?

I'm sorry I'm hopeless and unable to even come close to understanding your point of view. Shame on me.

It's called sarcasm.

ok big gay group hug.... :gheyhug:

I think its safe to say that everyone has their own opinions and their own experiences. this is no different than some people saying they aren't going to put 91 octane in their car that recommends it, or getting their oil changed when the maintenance minder says to. Few strong minded opinions here are going to be changed here. Its just a sounding board where you can throw your ideas and opinions out. There's always going to be someone who doesn't agree. Be prepared for it and in the end, we'll all go out and grab a beer!
