New RDX

My son is buying our TSX and we are adding a new 2011 RDX TECH Black on Black to the family on Monday. It is a very nice vehicle and I am looking foreward to it. Interestingly, I had a price quoted in March 2011, which was good, and then in April they increased the price, as they say the cars were in short supply. I said if I knew this I would have bought in March. Anyway they matched the price. It will be my Wife's vehicle, she wanted the Blue, but they had none, which is good with me because I like the black better.

Thanks. I am guessing your RDX could take the Mustang in the 0 - 60. lol.

I will do the pic this weekend. I don't drive it, my wife does. I did however drive it home from the dealer, and I felt the power was there to take off, but as we are breaking it in I am being gentle. However, I have a 305HP TL, and the RDX feels very powerful as well. I like it a lot, and it's utility will be welcome. The only issue I have is that some of the body panels are not as well alligned as I am used to with my Hondas and Acuras. My TL and TSX seem to have a better exterior fit and finish. The RDX interior is a knockout, and it's fit and finish is top rate. PS I am very picky.

I had to take my 08 RDX in to readjust the driver side fender because of misalignment. There wasn't an even gap from top to bottom where fender and driver door met. The problem cause the driver’s side door to bind a little when you open it and make a popping sound. It is still not perfect; but, no sound.

My TSX has been 100% on fit and finish in the last 5 years.

Was your RDX new when you got it or was it used? What I was referring to is that the rear hatch door is not properly alligned, that is there is a larger gap on the left side of the door than the right and the fit for the rear doors where it meets the bumper panel is not perfect. If I compare this to my TL and TSX, they have perfect panel alignment everywhere. This is what I have come to expect from Acura. I will go to the dealer and see if they can do anything about the rear hatch in particular as it really bugs me. They will probably think I am an anal A-hole.

Interestingly, my TSX was assembled in Japan as opposed to my TL which was assembled in Ohio, and to me the TL is perfect with no complaints, and the TSX, which we love a close second.
