2 comments - I was at Ikea the other day and a avg sized Billy bookcase doesn't fit! ( had to take it out of the box as it comes in 4' x 8' x 2" thick box. I didn't know you can program it to talk French Canadian. How often does it say Eh? ( just kidding)

I got it, he was showing MPG (imperial) which is different than MPG in the states. I did the conversion and he was getting between 19-25.7 MPG. Still, I think that's good.

Under the driving conditions he describes I doubt he'd get better than 15mpg

I wish the auther had given the model number or speed rating of the Blizzaks - the Blizzak line comes in several flavors from H rated performance snow tires to Q rated light truck versions. If I'm going to get some winter tires for the mountains I'd like to get the performance version and feel like it will be as sure-footed as the article talks about.

They had Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3, same as the ones I am running.

How much did you pay for those tires in BC? Did you buy separate rims?

"the storage bin has split middle dividers to create two separate upper and lower storage compartments. One complaint though: the bin is not heated, and on a cold day, objects placed in the bin emerge half frozen. "

Oh come on now!

I would have been interested to see how the author would have made out without the Blizzaks. We have had a ton, I mean a ton of snow in Saskatoon and the stock Michelins have been excellent. Never even came close to getting stuck.

I paid $265.00 ea. installed. They were very scarce when I got them in November and the Michelin X-ice weren't available in an appropriate size let alone stock size. I used the OEM rims as I am going to get some new rims this spring for non winter use, just haven't figured out which ones yet.
