MID issue

Regarding the MID display:

The manual states on page 79 "When you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, what you last selected is displayed"

I do not get what I last displayed. The top half of the display is always blank even though what I last displayed was not. I have tried various upper displays, always get a blank upper when I turn on the ignition.

Is the manual wrong, should it have said, "... selected on the bottom half is displayed and the top half will always be blank"?

My parents TSX does the same thing. Everytime you start the car the upper screen is blank. I always have to push the button to get the MPG screen to come up.

Ditto for mine working this way too...I think they should have added a few words to their explanation!

It's a mistake in the manual. The 06 TSX and the RLs suffer from the same "problem."

Thanks to all for confirming it was not my lack of pressing the right buttons.

Isn't there a way to set the primary display mode in the MID?

Hmmm...it worked for me yesterday. I had the trip A shown in the top part of the display and the next time I started the car, it was still there.

In fact, I accidentally reset my trip A when I tried to change some settings which stinks because I'm still on my first tank and I wanted to see the calculated mileage vs. actual when I do my first fill up.

Maybe it's tied to the key linking feature. Try setting it how you like it and resetting your memory seats?

Oh no, Colin, you didn't just say that....the RDX doesn't have memory seats. Very sore topic for some.
