Looking to buy a 2007 RDX Tech
My wife's '93 Camry has seen better days and she's looking to upgrade. Over the past few days she's driven an RDX, X3, RX330, CRV, RAV4 and CX-7. She's decided the RDX is what she wants.
We've found a 2007 Tech with 54K for $21,900 that we plan to look at on Memorial Day. Can anyone provide any particular things we should focus on during the test drive? I hope to read through a lot of threads over the the next two days to learn more about the RDX but am hoping some of you guys can provide some insight in this thread.
I've owned two GS-Rs that I loved so I was thrilled when the wife decided she liked the RDX.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think that there are any "weak" spots in the RDXs....no recalls, some minor service bulletins and that's it.
I would focus on comfort and how much you like the "loudness" of the RDX....the car is not well deadened.....Perhaps pay attention to suspension and brakes? Idon't know.

dont go for the salesman's pitched pre planned route on the newest paved road. You need to drive it on bumps, and broken concrete, and regular roads. Only there will you decide if you or your wife are up to driving it every day. Have fun, good luck.

Firm ride and interior noise. The audio system is quite good and will deaden out any noise. That's about it. Mechanically the car is great. The HVAC system is excellent. Check the brakes and tires if they are still OEM.

if you can, drive it at 65mph on an on ramp (that's a plus), if you can too, drive it on a really bumpy road with your wife at the back of the car with no salesman beside you (that will make her feel the bumps at the rear of the vehicle) (that's the minus). multiply that experience by 2 or 3x then you'll get a feel if you/your future passengers could tolerate the ride

We are now the proud owners of a 2007 Tech. We got it for $20,750. It was originally priced at $25,991 but had been on the lot since March 4th. It wasn't a steal but we feel pretty good about the price.
The woman that owned it traded it in on a new Mercedes SUV and had taken great care of it. The interior was spotless. The Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas still have nubs on them!! The only ding I saw was a little bit of curb rash on a couple of the wheels.
We've only driven it 80 miles from the dealer to home but love it so far. The ride is much smoother than I expected.

I would be more than glad to pay 20700 for an rdx tech with mid 30K miles on it.
