How long till c_hunter corrects everyone who posts in this thread?

This board is built around people providing their own opinions based on their own experiences. Providing accurate information is helpful, but there are often several ways to achieve one goal. It's no fun to have a "know-it-all" constantly telling everyone that their methods are wrong. You've done this in virtually every post on this discussion site!

I'm beginning to think that the "C" in c_hunter stands for "Cliff" as in Cliff Clavin from Cheers. Are you him? How 'bout lightening up a bit and allowing yourself to be exposed to some new ideas?

Like you said, this is about stating your own opinions and experiences. craig has just as much right as anyone to say whatever he wants. I find his posts to be very informative and well thought out. And if he makes a mistake which is rare, he is the first to accept it and move on. Everyone is welcome here to post as much or as little as they want. I'd rather have people like craig here to show varying opinions and keep things interesting. Certainly if he has an opinion on something he will state it and most all that he posts seem to come from some good experience to back it up. I haven't noticed that he tell people their methods are wrong, but rather he will be the first to correct someone if he believes they have mis-stated something.

You certainly picked a good topic to make your first post on! Keep on posting!

Big group gay hug....... :gheyhug:

Also I wanted to say something, c_hunter is a good knowledgeable guy who gives allot to this community so be careful attacking people in your first post.
He answers peoples questions when no one else will so that says allot. C_hunter you are good in my books.

Yeah, well that's just like, your opinion, man....

I am sorry you had to join the forum and make this your very first post (though I know who you really are dude -- nice try on the anonymity). I hope I am not coming off as a know it all, because I certainly don't know it all and am wrong a lot (which should be obvious in plenty of places on this forum). I will definitely call BS when I smell it though, so an easy way to stifle me would be to keep it real. As old Cliff himself would say, the laws of physics and mathematics are irrefutable!

I have always found c_hunter's posts relevant and on-point. Great first post attacking an active member! c_hunter is no sasair, but then again who is!!! In my opinoin, sasair is the first to jump in to answer a question, provide information or opinion. He posts helpful pictures and seems to tell it like it is. I say we turn this thread into a sasair love-fest.

I respect and admire c_hunter's passion about vehicles, and clearly one of those vehicles is the Acura RDX.

If the original poster is a previously jaded poster, it's "all water under the bridge" so to speak.

I've been known to go "round and round" with DNPhotograpy (my apologies if I've screwed up the name as I didn't look it up) about this or that but I still respect him as a person and value his opinion on various issues as I think he's an intelligent and insightful poster.

Life's too short.

They may not necessarily be a new member - could be an existing member posting under a temporary id ('everyman'?).

Personally I'm just worried someone will say something similar about me :gheyfight: - I usually have enough opinions for 3 normal people... ...and a spare one for the cat...

Hey, where's the big group gay bear hug?

as long as c_hunter is CORRECTING people I see no problem with that.

craig, I'm surprised you didn't correct everyman by telling him he should have said 'forum' instead of 'thread'

Oh by the way, posting on AcuraZine using multiple screen names is an easy way to get banned.... plus it's really cowardly...

everyman, take a chill pill, dude. You're out of line. Craig is a good guy, very helpful on this forum (in fact I'm surprised he hasn't been tapped to join sasair as a mod) and as was stated, is quite open to others' opines and even their corrections when he makes a mistake...as we all do from time to time.

I don't know Craig personnally, & I've read the posts in here for a long time & I don't remeber anything that even bordered on "know it all"?? Coming in on a 1st post as someone else (or a TROLL!), is sh$$y. If I were Sasair, you WOULD be banned (if not done already). He, (Sasair) is prob. more tolerant than most of us. I love my RDX & love reading the threads in this forum, & I'll bet most here will agree w/ me on this one...................................

Everyman,

I love your reference to Greek Tragedy in your screen name. However, I wonder if perhaps the more appropriate screen name would have been tragichero as your downfall is your inability to see your own arrogant pride. C_hunter corrects quite a few posts because quite a few posts are simply incorrect. In his corrections, I have always found c_hunters posts, while occassional contrary to others, consistently backed by facts and knowledge.

Seeing as you have not returned perhaps you have already clawed your eyes out at seeing how your attempts to smite thine enemy has done nothing more than earn him praise.

I have been known to sabotage myself from time to time, though it's generally with home improvement projects! And in those situations my wife is the first to chew me out!

I do appreciate the kind words guys. I think I probably gave a counterpoint to "everyman" one time too many and pushed his buttons. But I do think "peer review" is an important aspect of forums like this. The info here is often taken as advice, so it should be subject to some open discussion.

Yehey for the Internet-Freedom of Speech-and a better way to slice and dice the RDX

Information is critical these days and I appreciate that there is a forum for our voices. The RDX will only get better - folks from Acura/Honda are takinhg notes.

I like Hunter and he among several others contributed to my positive purchase experience.

If someone has some clear expertise about a subject, I appreciate their speaking as an authority. Such objective conviction transmits information in a efficient manner that readers can use immediately and with a measured amount of confidence.

What's up with this post??

A very cool guy on this forum (you know who you are ) taught me that it's best not to address specific individuals in a post's subject unless you PM them. Besides that, making an outwardly negative comment about someone is unacceptable in any discussion group. I know that when I received a couple of negative replies to one of my posts, it left me with a seriously bad taste (plus it tainted my perception of Acurazine - albeit termporarily).

Everyman - if you're really out there, I know you're entitled to your opinion, and I can't criticize you for it. But I only want to say that I took a look back at all my threads, and c_hunter offered only thoughtful and constructive input on everything. In the end, I've found him to be a great help, and was always pleased to see his name listed amongst the respondents to my posts.

C-hunter, a little positive support is the least I can do to say thanks for all your good help this past while...

I'm not clear on how the "hater" and "lock" smilies fit into the discussion.

Can someone elaborate (Tonia??). What's this post supposed to mean?

She's saying the original poster is a "hater" or one who doesn't like c_hunter because c_hunter answers questions and everyone, for the most part, is pleased with c_hunter's input on these forums.

She puts the "lock" guy on here because the original poster is hating on c_hunter for no apparent reason and the poster thinks this thread should be locked.

Exactly. I don't think the original post should be dignified with this much of a response. Plus, I really like the "hater" smilie
