So did my last two cars -- I never had to turn the lights either on or off. And I keep forgetting that the Acura doesn't do that. Good thing it warns me if I leave the car with the lights on. Now if only it would warn me when it's dark and the lights are off.

If you leave your lights on, but lock the car with the key fab the lights will timer off, i think its like 30sec. When you open your car door to go back in it, the headlights will go on again. Just got mine today and have been checking on every little detail.

You mean just ignore the beeping warning sound when the door is open with the light on, and it will be turn the headlights off in 30 seconds ?

Yup, that's exactly right. The TSX works that way, too. I'm guessing most (all?) of the newer acura's do, probably.

With tech package you can set it to zero, 15, 30, or 60 seconds. Default from factory is 15 seconds. I changed mine to zero so the lights turn off when I close the doors.

On the base model, it is set on 15 seconds and you can't change it I believe.

if you turn the car off and remove the key and do not open a door, the lights will shut off after 10 minutes automatically.
