Grill partially blacked out - with pics!

I saw someone had panted their grill all black, which looks great. I didnt have the guts to do that just yet, so i went for a partial black out. the Chrome A really pops now. Used duracoat metalic black. Hope i can get the pics to show..

I like it. Nice work.

One of the reasons I went with Silver over polished metal was the grill just stood out too much on the darker color.

Thanks. I will add some pinstriping tape to clean up the paint edge. Also, want to correct paint used was dupli-color.

Thanks for the compliments. The black pinstriping came in, and really finishes off the edge perfectly. I have a honeycomb mesh coming, which i will add to the center grill and also paint black.

For the vast sum of $100 I just had my local body shop remove my entire grill and repaint it to match the body color, Nighthawk Black Pearl (which actually contains a lot of blue metallic). The results are outstanding and I highly recommend the procedure.

Nice, that looks to me like the way Honda/Acura should've done it anyways. Makes the Acura logo look more pronounced and meaner.

I am interested in this as well. Was it an Acura body shop? In other words, how well did they match the color?

nice, really nice. I wish acura had done that in the first place. I thought that was missing the day I bought the silver car. It still doesn't sway me from my decision, but this looks far nicer!
