Exclamation Feeler - Functional Sharkfin Antennas

**FEELER THREAD**

I hope the mods are OK with this -- if not, please lock/delete

Hi everyone - I also own a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT, for which I just ordered a functional sharkfin antenna (pics installed on a Matrix below). The company, SharkFinAntenna.com agreed to a recent GB, which was put together by the Administrator over at http://www.9thgencorolla.com. The turnout was excellent, driving the price of one antenna down to $56 USD painted & shipped. I will be taking photo's and measurements of my RDX for custom fittment, and figured I should gauge interest here in case it warrants another GB. Details/pics below..

manufacturer's website: http://www.sharkfinantenna.com/

These would mount over the top of our antenna "stub" and have a wire that connects into it from the inside of the antenna for supposedly great reception. These would be OEM color matched to our specific paint color and look better than any other we've seen around.

Individual prices from their website are $71, but they are professionally painted and actually work as an antenna, not just a piece of plastic that looks good. The GB prices will vary based on the number of orders, but this is what was quoted in the recent Vibe/Matrix/Corrola GB:

5 - 29 orders = $63 USD shipped
30 - 49 orders = $60 USD shipped
50+ orders = $57 USD shipped

We ended up at $56 each, painted & shipped, as mentioned above.

These are designed specifically for each car model so it will fit the curves of our roof, hence my need to take measurements.

Examples on a Toyota Matrix:

And a Corolla:

As far as install goes, you unscrew the antenna and install it over top of the stub which is attached to the roof. It looks like a tiny wire that is only about two-three inches long... screws right in where you unscrew the antenna and is all hidden up under the shark fin. No cutting no nothing, just 3M automotive tape. There is a full install DIY on their site, but this is just a brief description of how easy this install really is.

I will post pics of it both installed on my Vibe and mocked up on my RDX as soon as it's received.
