De-badging

I guess this is the opposite of the gold emblems, but has anyone taken off the letters, brag tags, dealer stickers, etc? An pics of debadged results?

I've done it to some other cars with thin power-pro braided fishing line, then cleaned up the sticky rez. I pesume the logos are just put on with panel adhesive.

Only the big "A" logos (front and rear) are drilled. The others can be removed with string or even dental floss.

I re-attached RDX (licenseplate) AWD
turbo

I used the AWD from the subaru..put the shawd and a-c-ur-a in a bag.

Used 3m spray and clear silicone...pics soon.

I just finished mine. I love it! It only took about 20 minutes from start to finish.

Thanks

There is no reason to buy a car from a dealer that has a dealer sticker on it.

Just tell them to take it off before you take delivery. No fuss, no hassle if it's a half-way decent dealership. They do it ALL the time.

Removing the dealer sticker I can understand, but what exactly is the purpose of removing the "Acura" the "RDX Turbo" and the "SH-AWD"? You guys are a bit strange.

Its just a matter of taste Plainsman. I prefer a clean look without advertizing Acuras products. Why does the car behind you on the road need to know you have a turbo or SHAWD? Honestly SHAWD is about the gayest thing in my opinion. "Super Handling"??? Couldnt they think of a better catch phrase than that? Why not "Great Driving"? Or "Kinda Topheavy"? lol

I've never debadged a car before the RDX, but I thought the SH-AWD and TURBO were unnecessary and cluttered up the rear. If the RDX was available in a non-AWD and/or non-turbo version then I would have thought about keeping them on there, but since those are standard features it doesn't seem necessary to advertise them. I also removed the ACURA lettering because I thought it just looked better without it (plus it was a pain to wax around them on my old CL...).

I also removed the SH-AWD badge the instant I picked up the car, it looked rediculous in that location

I put the RDX on the top of the plate frame, broke the SH off the AWD, then added the AWD Turbo to the bottom of the frame. Looks good to me for now.

I de-badged / re-badged because I also though the SH-AWD was in correct balance..... & took off the ugly dealer tag/ sticker! Looks more balanced, doesn't it!

Yes you do! I haven't seen any de-badging on a CBP.

PS. So how is Beaumont TX. I use to know a couple of friends from my PBA bowling days from there. I haven't seen them in 30 yrs., so they may not even live there anymore!

Bmt is good. Came back in '98 after being gone for 20 years. It's grown a lot.
My wife did some bowling in Cali a long time ago. Her dad managed an alley.
byw- mine is not CBP, mine is CGP.

I have some friends that just came from CS not too long ago. They were the worship leaders. Dutch Sheets was the, or one of the pastors there. They have come back home now.

True that...yours looks good as well!!

Removed w/ hairdryer and dental floss.

Re-applied w/ 3m spray and CLEAR silicone. I used a piece of gaffers tape to create a straight line. Dont over silicone, or it will drip!!

No logos makes the rear end look like a minivan, at least to my eyes.
