Blow Dryer or a Heat Gun to blow hot air where the emblems are to heat them up. Make them warm to hot where the doublesided tape behind them gets soft. Then you can use a old credit card to work it behind them and slowly start to pull them while working the doublesided tape off the metal. This is the safest way to do it. I would also have some Goo-gone ready for the left over residue.

On dark colored cars you might need to get some light compound and polish/wax to get rid of the marks that are left from the emblems.

the easy and cheap way to do it:

1. use a blow dryer to heat up the emblems and then they will come off really easily with some dental floss
2. put some turtle wax bug and tar remover on the excess adhesive remaining on the trunk, heat it up a little, and start rubbing with your finger. wipe all the crap away gently with a wet paper towel and then repeat this about 3 times to get all of the adhesive off.
3. wash it and make sure to re-wax this area. you won't even be able to notice that there was a badge there before.

-i used goo gone before without the blow dryer and it didn't do jack
-don't use your fingernails or anything else on the paint, it scratches like a mother

After debadging, I used the glass cleaner that I use on my kitchen table to clean the residue from the emblems and the 'gunk' came right off.

I would only add detailing clay before waxing. Detailing clay will remove all contaminants above the paint surface.

In the thread that darksom1 referenced, I used those products (in order) ONCE and it did the job.

So I just took off the Acura and TL. Everything came off but there is a border around where the letters used to be... will they come off once I wax?

I left my car in the sun for 3-4 hours used some spider wire fishing line and it came right off. Rubbed the heavy adheasive off with my finger then used the clay bar with some maguires 34. Polished it with maguires cleaner polish (medium cutting power) and a coat of polish (wax) on top of that. Never would know it was there.

Just did this last weekend. Looks 100x better without the acura & TL emblems. Very clean on WDP.

1. Hair dryer
2. Dental floss
3. Goo Gone (spray gel type)
4. Roll excess adheasive tape off with finger.
5. Clay bar
6. Zaino
7. Perfection

7 steps...? ...okay 6 minus perfection...

for me it went:

1. dental floss
2. rubbing compound
3. wax

nonetheless, looks much better with both the Acura and TL emblem removed (originally i had only removed the Acura one)...
