CDN Pricing

We are looking at the RDX without tech package. Dealer is quoting MSRP at 41400 plus 1825 Freight and 225 documentation fee... We are trying to trade a 2001 VW Golf GL 80000km. He is quoting 7000 site unseen but with inspection .. He is offering 3k off list for a on-site model that they have in stock... Seeing all the posts for US models this does not seem so good.. Does anyone have any pricing to share for us... We looking at the CX7 which is really not in same vein but is 5000 k cheaper.. Share some insight if you can fellow canucks..

I looked hard at CX-7's, but the performance and options just weren't there IMO.

3K off list is good. I could only get about 2k off list here and that was through a connection. Also, Acura was offering special financing (I have 1.9%), but that was independant of the cash back offers.

I got my 07 tech with running boards, roof rack, front lip and wood dash trim for 50 grand all in. But I did get the 1.9% Financing which made the deal.

Your price seems decent to me. Unless you wanna go across the border and pick one up and have a voided warranty (I strongly suggest against )

don't forget Acura has incentives for Canada (which may or may not still exist, this was a couple weeks ago). 3k off for base, 4k off for techs. Theoretically they are selling at MSRP if the incentives still in place. Do some research!

Those were for CASH purchases only (couldn't get it with Honda/Acura Financing).

I got my tech for $39 with a mid black book for the CRV trade-in. They gave us the winter package. We're family friend with the dealer's owner so it was pretty much invoice pricing.

Even though it took all day, I was only able to get down to about $39500 plus Dest, PDI, and a $3,000 after-tax rebate on everything for a new Base '08, no trade-in. This was before Jan 1st, I don't know if they are still offering the $3K rebate. It was a cash purchase.

I tried pulling the CX-7 card, but I'm sure the salesman had heard that one many times, it didn't seem to work. Plus deep down, even though I was saying I'd rather go with the CX-7 because it was cheaper, I knew in my heart that car was shit.

The rebate is good until the end of this month. Currently cash rebate is sitting at $4,000 for the tech and $3,000 for the base.

Hi, r u sure its still available for the RDX? I checked Acura.ca and the cash rebate back is good for the cars..csx..tsx..tl..etc?

I still want one badly, i was gonna go for it in December but then my dad changed his mind, and now he wants one but thought the cashback wasnt available anymore?

According to CarCostCanada:
Base
Non-stackable Trading Dollars/Factory to Dealer Rebate $3,000.00 1/31/2008
Tech
Non-stackable Trading Dollars/Factory to Dealer Rebate $4,000.00 1/31/2008

The acura.ca site is pretty useless. Same goes for lexus.ca or any other Canadian manufacturer's site. They don't give a jack a$$ about CDN enough to update it properly. They screw us over where they can but when it comes to providing information or giving us something back, forget about it. You're better off talking to the dealer for discount or check this forum for info.

I just got my black Tech last week for $5500 off plus another $700 in "free" options including the mats, tray, bumper applique package, locking wheel nuts and leather shift knob.
Anyone heard what the February incentives are? I know the January MDX cashback wasn't as good as it was in December.

Went to Lougheed Acura in BC.... I dealt with Jackie Young.. Very upfront and wanted to rock and roll... I heard that the leasing incentives are still there in Feb as saw it advertised today but no numbers on the cash back and models may have changed.. Just saw the Lexus just reduced the MSRP by about 5 or 6 k starting so Acura may keep it.... Only 2 more hours till we pick it up.....

We decided on the Morocan Red.. Every single one I have seen is either silver black or White... We like the darker platinum color as well but Moroccan red is close to 49er color and red is lucky too

Popped by my (Ottawa) dealer yesterday. He said the RDX cash-back incentives had dropped back from $4k Tech, $3k base to $3k Tech, $2.5k base. Glad I bought in December.

I think they would really have too to stay competitive. I'm going to test drive the RX350 today. I'm a big Acura fan on my 3rd one, but really It seems like the value that they have for the money is falling a bit.

If Toyota drops them, I would think the rest would follow? Hopefully

I was looking at RDX & MDX but with the price drop from Lexus I am going to be checking out the RX350 and maybe even IS350 and just keep my RSX-S for winter but I can wait until April for a new car so I hope Acura drops there MSRP

Does anyone know if Acura Canada will continue to offer the "cash back" savings for March?

1875 Frt rolled in also all taxes in 0 down.

They stated it was 500 bucks above invoice don't know if that's accurate.

Thanks for the feedback.

I still can't believe Honda or Acura have to made adjustments to MSRP pricing. Yes, incentives help. But many import car makers have lowered CDN pricing. Including Toyota/Lexus, Audi, even Hyundai! You can get a brand new Hyundai Accent for $9995 at MSRP now. Wake up Honda!

Yes I know it's crazy that they haven't done anything yet. Maybe thier waiting for the new TSX or something to drop prices?

Heheh .. don't forget VW lowered prices as well.

seems good to me.

What I did when I was going through everything was use carcostcanada for invoice prices, lease incentives and other incentives, and a lease calculator for the payment info. If all you are missing is what your negotiated price is, you should be able to use trial, error, and this http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm to figure it out.

hope that helps.

They quoted negotiated price at 42,100 and a 20K buyback. My only concern is a price drop in the next month or so, i would be pissed off.

Thanks for the feedback.

Honestly, Canadian buyers are on the edge of their seat right now. I would be really pissed off if they lowered pricing weeks after I took delivery of a new car. Judging by the market conditions right now in Canada, Hondas are way overpriced (in TODAY's standard). The trend now is to adjust MSRP, which most of the big players in the industry have done. I guess it's still uncertain what action Honda/Acura will take. In my point of view, RDX Tech is not a 46.5k car, and the TSX Navi is certainly not a 42.2k car.
