B1 Service for a Rebuilt
B1 Service for a Rebuilt
Hi,
I'm new here and would just like to start off by saying this forum looks pretty sweet and helpful!
I just purchased a 07 Acura RDX that was rebuilt from the Rear right side.
My B1 Service light just came on and I'm at 15% oil life.
I know I'm more than capable of doing the oil change myself and I'm not interested in the tire rotation because I'm getting winters put on in a week.
My question is, would anyone still recommend getting my first service done at the dealer just to make sure everything is tip top? Or would I just be better off doing it myself?
Honda wants $184
Acura wants $234
Also, 1 more quick question. Do I still have any manufacture's warranty left, or does that get voided when it gets rebuilt?
Thanks for everyone's help!

the easiest thing to do will be call you acura dealer with your vin.... ask them how much warranty time is left. if the title is salvaged/rebuilt and your warranty is void, they'll tell you then. just don't mention the rebuilt title when you call. if it doesn't show up to them that way, they'll tell you how long your warranty is good for. what the damage was is irrelevant, salvage is salvage. if they told you it was rebuilt, but the title is not documented as such, it will not show up to acura as it was not reported as a "total loss" by an insurance company.
