Autodim Mirror: Install Yourself?

Anyone know if this is a user-installable part? Seems like it'd be a matter of unscrewing the old mirror, plugging in a few wires, snapping autodim mirror into place, and then putting the cover back on. Or is the mirror glued to the ws? I'm assuming it's screwed into the roof, I don't have an RDX. Still thinking on it as I try to get a decent price.

Asking b/c I don't want to order from the dealer -- if I get an RDX, it will be the Tech and I may drive it a while and find I don't really *need* the autodim though I'm sure it would be nice to have. So if I do get the mirror, I'll likely order online. Thanks for any insights you can offer...

I did the mirror. It was a piece of cake. Good instructions. Anyone could do it. Think it took no more than a half hour. Here are the instructions if you wanna see for yourself...

Saair,

You don't by chance have a link to the user manual for the mirror, do you? I see from you instruction that a user manual comes with the mirror. My dealer installed mine & when I asked for a user manual, he said there wasn't one, but I'd find info on it in the regular RDX owners manual. The only thing I found on the mirror was on the maual version.

I'll check to see if I have the manual at home. It wasn't really a "manual" as much as a pamphlet or piece of paper, if I remember right, but it gave instructions on calibration, and setting the correct zone. If I have it I'll scan it in for you...

Do a google search for the online accessory stores. One of them has PDF links for all the installation instructions. Can't remember which. Try Curry Acura, HondaAcuraWorld, ...

Here is the "manual". It is a single piece of paper front and back. Sorry for the quality, but I don't have my scanner here or a decent camera, so I took these pics with the built-in camera on my notebook. I think it is all legible though...
