ATLP Exhaust Group Buy

Hey folks, we are revisiting this again. We got an order for a system over the weekend and in order to make them we need a few more backorders. This is a feeler post.

As far as fitment on the newer model versus the older one, we can guarantee the exhaust will fit the new rear bumper, even if we need to redesign it. Right now our main concern is getting some people together to make another production run of RDX ATLP exhausts a reality!

Questions also came up in the past about a downpipe. Another was made from another vendor and we are unaware of the success of this product. At this time we are not looking at a downpipe but a good result of this GB might change that.

Last thing I will note, there is no eta, no timeline, no speculation on this. This is a limited production part for a limited production car with limited demand for such a part. Your patience will be rewarded with a shiny new, rare ATLP exhaust system!

So let's get a list going! We need 10!

"...there is no eta, no timeline, no speculation on this..."

For me, it is difficult to offer interest because there is no price.

I agree, given no information at all, it is hard to commit. I am interested though. if 10 ppl were to commit what sort of timeline and estimated cost?

At least we know it's an exhaust system for Acura RDX, everything else is just details!

I definitely would like to order one but the issue for me is timeline. New winter tires, intercooler, front lower spoiler, rear diffuser, body side molding, as well as x-mas has put a dent in my wallet.

Very interested ...and you're nearby. Any possibility of doing up a different custom tip for a customer?

Only concern for me is it safe with Hondata reflash, down & mid pipe with a intake.

The tips will have to stay as they are...awesome

For the fuel I am thinking we'd be fine. I can get some backup on this from Hondata and Church before promising anything tho.

2. HONDA TUNING! They are going to do a feature if we get them made quick! Just found out 5 min ago.

-let me run a hypothetical scenario here...

3. kidfury
4. BigHatch
5. JCRDX11 (pending fuel is not an issue)
6. wspy (based on the fact that you were posting in the previous thread as well as this one, you must be at least somewhat interested)
7. Mr Marco (same as wspy)

We are practically halfway there! I can actually get this done with 6-7 orders. Plus we can hit back all the people who have been asking for this part in the last 6 months (at least 2-3 more there).

SERIOUSLY, with the promise of completion in the next month or so wouldn't you guys be interested in making another run a reality?

I just emailed Hondata on the fuel issue:

Hope this helps!

these new pics show them off a lot better.. you're right, they do look good. Just saying a brushed or Ti option would be nice.

Very tempting. I'm in the same boat as "kidfury" as the timing is off for me. My excuse is Christmas plus a new stove in the house. If we were in the month of April I'd be all over this. But fat-n-forty over here just paid $700 to MasterCard.

How big is the exhaust tips? The cut out for the +10 bumper is different from the 07-09.

+10 model has a much wider opening. (Perhaps a dual exhaust tip like the type s)

Well, there is always the upcoming tax season. Most people get a return...unlike me.

The tips are 4". The cutout is different but the look should be pretty similar. Maybe someone can photoshop?

are we on the fence? What can I do to sweeten the deal here? If this isn't going to gain momentum soon we might need to focus on a different project while people ramp up on this one.

BTW, we can do incremental payments on these...of you want to do this in 2-3 payments, order online and checkout using the "phone payment" method. We will take card info over the phone and charge 30-50% down and then you can pay the rest when the parts are closer to shipping time.

Rich people normally don't get any return!

Just for your information - I just measure my stock exhaust tips and for the +10 models.

Stock is already 6.5" wide and it is not even fill out.
The opening is about 8" so the 4" tips would look weird and small on the +10 models.

Noted. The smartest thing to do here is probably to take note of and produce systems for newer cars without tips and then get a vehicle to sample and find the best tip option.

Yes, about 2 months I think. Trying to firm that up as I type. Once I know we will open deposit submission page.

Yes, MrHeeltoe

Should we start gathering RDXers
&
get the ball rolling for your next ATLP DownPipe GB ?

should have 5+ RDXers interested for a new production run right at the moment
