If it is in production how many are going to be available?

I want to order one now so badly..
Sleepy Panda, see post #137 on instructions for payment.. we will be able to get production going before the March 16th if you are going to be our 10th!

Hey Guys,

I got a message from Marcus.

He said he is away from the forums right now and that he is working on some details with Eibach. The rep he deals with is out this week. So hopefully next week he will have a update and be able to pop back in on the forums with some good news.

Thanks.

Guess who just sent a big old PO to Eibach....this guy!

They quoted me 8-10 weeks which is shorter than the original 12-14 weeks, which is good news as well.

Today would be the 8 week mark from the submitted PO. Is there any status updates you can give us?

Thanks.

Shameless plug, but for anyone interested I'm selling the eibach springs from my RDX since I'll be replacing with coilovers. They are 7 months old or 4k miles, pm me for details.

These shots were taken within an hour of installing the eibach springs, so they usually settle a bit in the days to follow. I'm very happy with them. InStalled them myself in about 3 hours. Eibach pro kit springs, MRR GT1 wheels(20x8.5) and Pirelli Scorpion Assymetrical 235/45/20 rubber.
Thanks to Mark at Heeltoe!

And for comparison, this was shot when I put the wheels/tires on with the stock suspension

Well hell, just got back from my alignment appointment and the rear is at 2.5* negative camber. Not ideal, I would've thought they would've had a camber adjustment on these and not just the toe?

They aren't that hard to install with the right tools and some mechanical know-how. I haven't seen a complete how-to guide for the RDX springs, but here is one for the front struts that should be useful: https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-diy-faq-161/acura-rdx-2008-front-strut-shock-replacement-diy-874887/

The rears were something like this (from memory, please excuse me if I missed a couple things):
-chock vehicle
-jack up rear
-secure rear on jack stands
-remove rear wheels (I like to only work on one side at a time, so I can use the other side as a reference if needed)
-remove nut from threaded end of sway bar connector
-disconnect the threaded end of sway bar by pulling it out of mounting hole
-place a jack under the lower control arm (LCA) and jack it up to the LCA to hold, then control the descent of the LCA
-remove nut/bolt on lower control arm holding bottom of shock absorber
-remove lower control arm nut/bolt connection from arm to wheel hub
-(take note of the current position of the adjustment cam) loosen the nut at the opposite end (towards the differential), this nut/bolt contains the wheel alignment adjustment piece (looks like a cam), if you loosen it enough (cams on both sides must be able to clear their retaining walls-so loosen the bolt and give it a few taps with a hammer on the nut-side, so both cams clear), you'll be able to drop the LCA with ease using the jack to slowly lower it and decompress the spring fully
-Once the LCA is lowered completely, you should be able to grab the stock spring and remove it. (note how the bottom of the spring was situated in the LCA--the new one will need to be installed with the spring's bottom "ending point" at the same location in the LCA)
-with the stock springs removed, transfer the isolators from the top and bottom of the stock springs to the new Eibach springs
-install the Eibach springs with the logo upright and facing outward (check Eibach part numbers to ensure you are installing the correct ones to the rear)
-use jack to raise the LCA until you are able to insert the bolt connecting the LCA to the wheel hub
-reinstall is pretty much opposite of removal, be sure and put the rear alignment adjustment cam in the same position as you found it, but you will want to get a four wheel alignment ASAP anyways
-OH, also important to remember, you want to tighten all the bolts/nuts in the LCA with full weight on wheels. Meaning, get everything finger-tight, then lower the car from the jack stands and immediately tighten down the LCA bolts/nuts with the full weight of the vehicle on the suspension. This keeps the rear bushings from binding, like they could if it was tightened with the weight off of them.

Sorry if some of the directions are kinda vague, and wish I would've taken some pics to do a proper how-to, but this is the best I can do from memory at the moment.
Hope it helps,
-Joshua
